Giving Back
Whether it’s to indigent populations around the world without access to quality medical care, or to our children right here in the Reno-Tahoe community, one of the driving forces of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Tiffany McCormack’s career is the ability to give back to those around her.
One of the reasons Dr. McCormack chose plastic surgery as her life’s work is to be able to help those in need. After seeing an episode of the CBS program, 60 Minutes, which covered a medical group called Interplast’s efforts to provide free medical care to poor children around the world who needed cleft/palate reconstruction and other treatments, Dr. McCormack decided the organization would be an excellent opportunity for her to apply her expertise to an effort that truly helps those who need it. She has since been on multiple missions to a variety of poor areas in nations across the globe, delivering care that has improved the lives of many of the world’s children.
Dr. McCormack’s philosophy of giving back also extends to our own backyard. She helps our community in a number of ways by offering incentives for treatment at her practice that ultimately helps children in the Reno-Tahoe region. In the winter of 2009, Dr. McCormack created a program at McCormack Plastic Surgery to provide children between the ages of 6 and 12 with warm hats and gloves during the cold season. With “Bundle Up for BOTOX®,” Dr. McCormack was able to collect warm clothing for area children while giving donors a $75 gift certificate towards a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.
Dr. Tiffany McCormack’s community outreach and commitment to giving back reflects her deep gratitude and appreciation for being able to do the work she loves, and has dedicated her career to perfecting. As a woman, mother, and plastic surgeon, Dr. McCormack is determined to have a positive effect on those around her.
